Thunderstorms and Kind Souls

I spent some time this past week writing down everything (or most things) I could remember from our cycling trip this spring. Get ready for an onslaught of posts from what seems like an event a lifetime ago (but it’s really been only 7 months. Better late than never with the posts, I guess.)

It seems a bit ridiculous that I’m writing blog posts about a trip we took last summer, and it’s the end of January. But I really want to share our awesome experience, and I figure it’s better late than never.

Trains and visits from grandma

Today my mom (whom my kids call Vó Bia) came to stay for a 5-day visit. It’s been a while since she was able to come from London, ON to Kingston, ON, so we were looking forward to her coming to see us. We picked her up at the train station, then headed straight to the YMCA for the kids’ swimming and jump rope lessons. Dan met us there, and I headed out to grab some pizzas, because we didn’t have time to make anything to bring with us for dinner.
